What is the definition of relay? Relay is a device that can make one or more electrical output circuits jump when the input (or excitation) meets some specified conditions. It is generally composed of three basic parts: sensor mechanism, intermediate mechanism and actuator. The sensing mechanism transmits the detected electrical quantity or non electrical quantity to the intermediate mechanism and compares it with the set value. When the set value (excessive or insufficient) is reached, the intermediate mechanism makes the actuator act, so as to connect or disconnect the controlled circuit.
